The Retreat

This is an annual Young Adult Retreat for Post-Secondary Students, Young Professionals, and basically anyone between the ages of 18-30ish. This is an intentional weekend away to grow your friendships, community and to grow in your faith. The weekend includes worship gatherings with speaking, along with perspectives of life and faith experience. There will be times of adventure and times to relax.

Register

Cost is 170 per/person (this includes all activities, food and accommodations. Please note that this price point is with accommodations of 4 people per room with two double beds). Registration and payment is due by January 18th!

• If you love your privacy and would like to secure a room for yourself alone or with just one other friend, we can also do this at an extra cost. We will determine this cost based on your request.

The Wilds

We couldn’t think of a cooler location for this weekend! The Wilds is located just outside of St. John’s (near Holyrood off of Salmonier Line), during the summer it is a picturesque golf resort, during the winter? It’s our play ground!

You’ll be well accommodated in comfortable Hotel rooms, with your friends, and during your free time you can lounge by the fire, play board games in the cafe, join a traditional NL boil-up (aka: a fire outside where snacks can be cooked over the fire), sledding, or walk around in the wintery-wonderland-like grounds.

If you desire a private room, for yourself (or you and your spouse), we can accommodate that request for an extra cost. Details will be noted in the registration form.

Transportation

There’s currently no transportation provided to the retreat, but if you contact Pastor Crystal and seek help getting a ride there and back, she’ll make sure you have a carpool option. We will notify you if transportation becomes available.

Cost

To pay your registration fee, choose on of the options below:

• EMT Bethesda via give@bethesda.ca and note “YA Retreat: Your Name” in the memo.

• You can also pay in person on a Sunday at Bethesda (debit machine is available, note “YA Retreat: Your Name” on your envelope and deposit in a giving box or pass it to Pastor Crystal).

Are you are a Young Adult who calls Bethesda their home church and are currently unemployed and feel like the registration cost an issue that will keep you from attending this weekend? If so, please contact Pastor Crystal for assistance.

We have also provided a sample letter if you’d like to use it and send it to your home church to request assistance from the Pastor/Church Board for your registration costs. Download it and make it your own.
